Barti Software announced the launch of Quinn Patient Assistant. The new AI patient assistant feature lets eyecare providers and staff ask any question about a patient’s record, including exams, insurance, orders, claims, appointments, or clinical notes and get an instant answer without digging through the patient profile.
Quinn Patient Assistant is part of Quinn, Barti’s suite of AI features for eyecare practices, which now spans more than 10 AI tools built directly into the platform, from Quinn AI Scribe charting to Quinn Smart scan.
ABOUT THE ASSISTANT
Quinn Patient Assistant is an AI assistant inside Barti’s EHR that answers questions about a specific patient’s record in seconds, pulling from exams, insurance details, orders, claims, appointment history and clinical notes in one place.
Quinn Patient Assistant is an expansion of what was previously known as Barti AI History. Where AI History was built to surface a patient’s exam chart history (pulling up to 10 past exams on request), Quinn Patient Assistant goes well beyond that. It now searches everything tied to a patient’s record, including insurance details, orders, claims, and appointment history in addition to clinical notes and answers questions directly instead of returning a list of past exams to sort through.

Quinn Patient Assistant works like a staff member who already knows every file:
- Ask a question: Type or ask out loud, anything about the patient’s history or what’s coming up next. If it’s in the system, Quinn Patient Assistant knows it.
- Quinn Patient Assistant searches everything: Exams, insurance details, orders, claims, appointment history, and clinical notes. It pulls everything tied to that patient in seconds.
- Get an instant answer: No tab switching, no scrolling through charts. The answer appears right where you’re working, without breaking your flow.
