Dr. Catherine Heyman Named Founding Dean for School of Optometry at High Point University

Catherine Heyman, OD, FAAO, has been named founding dean for the new school of optometry to open at High Point University (HPU) in North Carolina. Most recently, Dr. Heyman served as associate professor and the associate dean of student affairs at Marshall B. Ketchum University’s Southern California College of Optometry.

“I truly love optometry and believe that all the students who pursue a career in this profession will find that they have a meaningful and purposeful life with an opportunity to make an impact in their patients’ lives and a difference in the world,” Heyman said in the press release shared by HPU.
