In December 2024, Jobson Optical Research surveyed eye care professionals on their use of digital solutions. The 42-page report features insights on what type of social media optical locations use and the frequency of posting.Another section focuses on the business review sites that ECPs use. It includes whether there’s an individual in the office dedicated to checking them and whether there is a protocol in place for responding to negative reviews.
According to the survey, 87% of respondents have a practice website, but the report further shows what respondents felt were important reasons to have a website.
While some digital solutions are more common, such as emailing and texting patients, others, such as inventory management software, practice apps and RFID inventory tracking tools, are just starting to gain some traction.
