Nominations Open for 2025-2027 WO Advisory Board

Nominations are now open for the 2025-2027 Women In Optometry (WO) professional advisory board. Each year, WO invites nominations for this professional advisory board, whose members serve two-year terms. Some members of the board rotate off annually.

Advisory board members participate in optometry-related discussions throughout the year and play a pivotal role in selecting the winners of the annual Theia Awards of Excellence.

“WO editors appreciate the perspectives and experiences of our professional advisory board members,” says WO Editor-in-Chief Marjolijn Bijlefeld. “They help us identify interesting stories and introduce us to people in their network who are helping to move the profession forward.”

WO extends a heartfelt thanks to the 12 outgoing board members (shown below) for their dedication and involvement and helping to make WO a stronger platform.

The new board members will join our 2024-2026 members below.
