People Who Are Blind or Visually Impaired Can Experience Shakespeare’s The Tempest, An Audio Surround Sound Odessey

Lighthouse Guild in partnership with Knock at the Gate are offering this unique experience. Knock at the Gate’s latest immersive audio experience, “The Tempest: A Surround Sound Odyssey,” is designed for dark environments and headphones. It transports listeners to the mystical depths and shores of Shakespeare’s magical island, immersing them in the heart of his beloved tale of magic and miracles, where a vengeful sorcerer is conjuring his final spell.

Knock at the Gate was born over a bonfire and fueled by Shakespeare and the science of sound. The company creates immersive audio experiences. “Our goal is to foster creative collaboration for theater and filmmakers globally, connect artists with audiences and explore new possibilities in sound immersion,” the company says.
