Scot Morris, OD, director of development and CEO of Augmented Medical Intelligence, a medical knowledge platform transforming medicine, will chair the presentation. An international speaker, educator, author, and management consultant known for his experience in ocular surface disease, medical technology and practice management, Dr. Morris is now focused on algorithm development and medical technology implementation as it relates to AI and augmented intelligence.
PRACTICAL APPLICATIONS
Although AI models will be discussed in a brief introduction and the future of AI in eye care will be covered at the program’s conclusion, the focus of this program will be squarely on the practical applications of AI in eye care practices now, equally divided between business and clinical uses. Content direction will be pragmatic, to send attendees home with multiple takeaways that can be immediately applied to every business model.
“Artificial Intelligence is entering every business segment, promising to augment capabilities and efficiencies in all professions and industries like no other new technology before,” said Dr. Morris. “Eye care is no different. Numerous AI tools have already been adopted unknowingly by ECPs, and a wave of new applications are anticipated for the near future. AI is speeding up the digital transformation of eye care practices that has already been underway.”
