Melonie Clemmons, OD, of Ellijay, Georgia, has been appointed President of the American Association of Corporate Optometrists.

 

Ashley Tuan, OD, PhD, has been appointed as chief medical officer of Visioneering Technologies (VTI).

 

The American Academy of Optometry Foundation honored Jillian F. Ziemanski, OD, PhD, FAAO, for the 2021 Korb-Exford Eye Career Development Grant. Dr. Ziemanski is an assistant professor at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry.

 

Leslie O’Dell, OD, FAAO, was named as one of the Power 30 HealthCare influencers by the Central Penn Business Journal. leslie o'dell

 

Jill Saxon, OD, FAAO, was named as one of the 2021 Top 25 Leading Women Entrepreneurs and Intrapreneurs in New Jersey by NJBIZ.

 

The College of Optometry Alumni Chapter presented the Alumni Chapter Scholarship to Janelle Gardner, a second-year optometry student at Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry.

 

Michelle Yan, a second-year optometry student at Southern College of Optometry, was honored as the recipient of the 2021 J. Pat Cummings Scholarship by the American Academy of Optometry Foundation, in collaboration with Johnson & Johnson Vision.
