From lush greenery to cozy spaces and breezy layouts, these eye care practices are cool, calm and designed to help patients stay a while. Step inside and see why these spaces feel like the perfect escape—no sunglasses required.
When Pretty Basra, PhD, BSc (Hons), responded to a local optometry job listing in Doncaster, England, she had no plans of owning a practice. Then, she transformed the space to include luxurious furniture that is both cozy and practical.
Bridgitte Shen Lee, OD, FAAO, FBCLA, FEAOO, Dipl ABO, and her business partner, Bradley S. Owens, OD, moved from an 1,800-square-foot space to one that’s more than 8,00-square-feet. The new space features cool flooring—both temperature- and design-wise—and hand-painted glass pendant lighting.
Ashley Szalkowski, OD, filled her practice with light wood furniture and tons of plants, perfect for any patient with a green thumb.
Jessica Cameron, OD, FAAO, will be celebrating her practice’s first anniversary this summer. She says more often than not, the first thing patients notice is the mosaic tile wall. “I get so many compliments on that wall,” she says.
