WO Voices: The Patient Journey to Presbyopia

Portrait of Dr. Kerry Geidd who shares how she discusses presbyopia with patients
Dr. Giedd

Presbyopia arrives to individuals in different ways: sometimes gradually or sometimes as a sudden switch in their vision. Kerry Giedd, OD, of Eola Eyes in Orlando, Florida, says that the evolution with smartphone and digital device usage has created an awareness of greater demands for visual comfort and clarity. In this podcast, she talks about the frustrations — and sometimes the surprises — that come with presbyopia. It’s a topic that carries some emotion for some patients, so she says she likes to introduce to patients what they might expect and what they can do about it.
